Expect dating military man
Whether you surround yourself with photographs, movies, quotes, or stories about the sea, you’ll start catching yourself missing your boyfriend or husband all the more.2.
We can’t place our fingers on it, but when you find yourself dating a naval guy, your heart longs for the water.
They may have deployed once, or they may have deployed several times over the course of their careers.
They have temporary duty assignments, they take classes, and they go to training, all across the country and the world.
So you met this really interesting guy claiming to be an Army Ranger.
Chances are he isn’t, chances are he is lying to you in an attempt to get laid.
However, in the rare event that the guy actually spent time in Ranger Battalion (or any other Special Operations unit) there are some things that you should know before bringing him home to meet your folks.
May I present to you, ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ of being in a relationship with a current or former member of ‘Spec Ops’ I’m going to come right out and say it in line one, if you like sex well…. There is likely no shortage of testosterone flowing through ‘ol boy’s veins and he is going to want to share that with you as frequently as possible.
The man you have your eyes on has been through countless catastrophic events and knows how to handle himself when things get really really bad.
But there’s a reason the military men you meet, more so than other hot men in uniform (think firefighters, police officers, the UPS guy), are either in relationships, or don’t seem to have a lot of trouble meeting women. At the end of the day, most of these things are qualities any guy could bring to the table, if he really tried.
Military men just already seem to have it: Military guys have a higher calling; they’re committed to serving their country, and their loyalty to the nation will take them to war zones, disaster areas, and anywhere they’re called to. You’ve seen “Band of Brothers,” you’ve heard of “no man left behind.” It’s all true.
They commit themselves to a purpose, and to one another, all for a greater cause. Just knowing that they are capable of devoting themselves to something else outside of themselves shows a level of unselfishness and integrity that frankly, a lot of people in general don’t seem to have. They haven’t all traveled the world on deployments.
But they know what’s going on in the world, because it’s their job to know, and for many, it’s the reason they joined the military in the first place. Articles about, well, dating, often get more views and social media shares than stories about ISIS and conflict in the Ukraine.
